DMC 2.106 - Auditorium

Moody College of Communication Auditorium DMC 2.106 in the Dealey Center for New Media is a large auditorium-style room with fixed theater seating. All seats feature folding tablet arms and many have power for laptops.

The AV system features a cinema-grade 7.1 surround sound and large 1080p HD projection. 2 large LCD monitors are provided on the sides of the stage. Users can present on all 3 screens, only the LCDs, or only the projector.

The teaching console can be operated by the presenter at the front of the room (typical) or rolled to the side to be operated by an assistant.

The elevated stage is approximately 3' high. A lectern, tables & chairs are available for panels & special events.

The room features programmable lighting which is controllable from the stage, entrance vestibules, or from the audience (via laptop).

The room has 4 channels of wireless microphones (both lavalier and hand mics) along with 4 inputs for wired microphones which feed to ceiling speakers & listening assistance system. Press feeds are provided at the front & back of the room.

A dedicated listening assistance system is installed and listening assistance headsets may be checked out from CMA 3.104. A braille touchpad is available for checkout at CMA 3.104 for those users who prefer a tactile AV control system interface.

For special events, up to 4 additional (12 total) microphones can be connected and controlled from the audience via laptop. 3 robotic HD video cameras, AV system (PowerPoint) outputs, and all microphones connect to a local TV control room and to CMB 4.130 control room for special event recording & streaming.
