CHC Welcomes Research Associate: Lindsay Bouchacourt

Say hello to Lindsay!

Lindsay joins the CHC as a Research Associate for the Whole Communities Whole Health initiative.

Lindsay received her Ph.D. from the Stan Richards School of Advertising and Public Relations at The University of Texas at Austin in August 2023. Her research focuses on consumer behavior, with an emphasis on consumer well-being, in the domains of persuasive communication and health communication. Her research tests concepts related to motivation and identity to develop effective communication strategies to enhance consumers' well-being and encourage healthy behaviors. Most recently her research has focused on emotional appeals and their roles in message effectiveness, with papers focusing on the use of guilt and pride appeals in messages related to sunscreen use, flu vaccinations, and mask-wearing.

Lindsay was born and raised in South Florida and moved to Austin in 2018. In her spare time, she listens to a lot of music, drinks a lot of tea, and fosters animals for the Austin Humane Society.
