CHC Welcomes Program Coordinator: Laura Anaya Rodriguez

Meet Laura, our new Program Coordinator!

Laura Anaya Rodriguez is excited to join the Center for Health Communication as a Program Coordinator for the Texas Targeted Opioid Response statewide health communication initiative and the Substance Use Disorder Screener.

Laura looks forward to applying her experience in program development and implementation to improve the lives of Texans. Before joining the CHC, she worked in the field of school safety, where she worked on projects related to increasing the safety and security of schools across the state through research and training.

Laura earned a B.S. in Microbiology from Texas State University and her Master of Public Health from the UTHealth Science Center at Houston. While not working, she loves reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
