Say hello to Alyssa!

Originally from Tomball, Texas, Alyssa moved to Austin to finish her bachelor’s degree in communication studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Starting off her college career at Lone Star Community College—The Honors College in Tomball, Texas, Alyssa gained experience conducting original research where she attended six conferences both at a local and regional level to present her findings. Alyssa was a member of the Honors College Leadership Program where she held the position of Events Coordinator and was tasked with creating and executing academic events like the semesterly Honors Undergraduate Research Conference for Lone Star College—Tomball. Utilizing her previous experience as an Events Coordinator, Alyssa aims to build on her skills and gain new knowledge of the field of Health Communication. In her spare time, Alyssa enjoys reading fantasy novels, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
