Dean's Ambassadors

Congratulations on your nomination to the Dean's Ambassadors Program! 

What is it?

The Dean’s Ambassadors Program is a partnership between Moody College administration and its most outstanding students. Dean's Ambassadors are the Moody College's representatives to external audiences in a variety of ways, including:

  • Participating in the Moody College visitor experience by contributing to scheduled information sessions and leading tours.
  • Serving as the voice of our students in panels at events such as LEADTexas, Honors Colloquium, Advisory Council, etc.
  • Greeting and escorting VIP guests to scheduled appointments.
  • Leading tours of the college or individual departments for visiting donors, prospective donors, high school groups, prospective students, on a one-off basis as requested.
  • Participating in recruitment events and activities such as calling projects, on-campus events, or off-campus admissions events across Texas.
  • Promoting Moody College brand and events via social media, peer networking, etc.
  • Participating in or act as a liaison to the student body to help recruit students for photo shoots, videos, and focus groups

As an Ambassador, you will be expected to participate for at least three semesters and volunteer at least twice per semester. You will be given a Moody College shirt and a professional headshot, and you will be recognized with a profile on the Moody College website and at your graduation ceremony.


If you would like to participate, please upload a short selfie video (approximately 1 minute). Be sure to provide the following information:

  • your name
  • your EID
  • your Moody major(s)
  • where you are from
  • Please describe the most rewarding experience you’ve had as a Moody student. This could be a class that you took, a student organization you have joined, a group project, etc. 

The objective is for us get to know your personality and presentation style, so you don't need to spend time on editing, graphics, etc. Just tell us why you love Moody!

Selected students will attend a mandatory training session.

The application deadline is noon (CT) on February 20, 2019.

How to upload

From your phone

  1. Install the Box app (if you don't already have it installed)
  2. When propmpted to enter your email address and password, enter the following:
    • email address: {youreid}  (e.g.  
    • password: your regular EID password
  3. Then, you should be taken to the standard UT EID logon page where you can log in with your regular EID and password.
  4. Upload/share your video to the folder "VideoSelfieUpload"

From your computer

  1. Go to UT Box
  2. Find the folder "VideoSelfieUpload""
  3. Upload your video to that folder

Tip: to save your data, upload while you are on campus and use UT's wi-fi network.

Your video will only be seen by Moody College faculty and staff who are involved in the Dean's Ambassadors program. Other applicants cannot view your submission.
