About the Minor
The Digital Game Industries minor is open to all undergraduate students following the 2026-2028 catalog.
Applicants need to plan for a minimum of 4 long semesters to complete the minor. Applications will open in August 2026.
If demand exceeds space available, the Moody College reserves the right to select students based on a review of their academic record, prior coursework or a secondary application.
- The Digital Game Industries minor requires a total of 15 hours of coursework.
- Nine hours of coursework must come from outside of major requirements. Only 6 hours of overlap between major and minor courses is allowed for this minor.
- Nine hours of coursework must be taken at the upper division level and in residence.
- All courses must be taken for a letter grade, unless the course is only offered on the pass/fail basis. Only courses of C- or better will be counted for the minor.

1Major restrictions and prerequisites will be enforced.
In addition to specific course requirements, students must also fulfill the hour totals for overall, in residence, and upper division coursework as well as meet the grade minimums for each minor course.
