Moody College of Communication Scholarship Application

The Moody College Scholarship Application is open each spring semester. The application is available to students who have been enrolled at UT Austin in the past year. All of the application-based scholarships that the Moody College awards to incoming freshmen are awarded through UT's freshman scholarship process.

The Moody College Scholarship Application for Fall 2021/Spring 2022 is has closed. Scholarship recipients will be notified in June.

Summer scholarships: The Moody College offers scholarships that may be used for summer internships or projects. Full details are available on this webpage.

Jesse H. Jones Fellowships

The Moody College of Communication annually awards the Jesse H. Jones Endowed Centennial Fellowships to graduate students who possess exceptional ability in advertising, communication sciences and disorders, journalism, radio-television-film, or communication studies. The fellowships are awarded each Spring for the following academic year. The fellowships are open to masters or doctoral students who are enrolled in a Moody College graduate program at the time of application, or were enrolled in a Moody College graduate program during the prior long semester; applicants must be seeking funding for the second or subsequent year of their programs. Preference is given to candidates with a strong, interdisciplinary track record. Click here for more details.

Wofford Denius Music Industry Internship Grants Program

The Wofford Denius Music Industry Internship Grants Program is a special program that grants financial assistance to Moody College of Communication students pursuing summer internships in the music industry in Los Angeles, New York City and Nashville.

Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program

The Undergraduate Research Fellowship program provides support for specific scholarly research projects conducted by full-time UT undergraduate students enrolled in any department. These fellowships are intended to cover costs associated with academic research projects proposed and written by student applicants and undertaken with the supervision of a university tenured or tenure-track faculty member, lecturer, senior lecturer or full-time research scientist/engineer. External Scholarship Opportunities

These are scholarships offered to communication majors from organizations outside of The University of Texas at Austin. This is not a comprehensive list.

Media Alliance of Houston 2021 Scholarship for College Juniors and Seniors:  The Houston Chapter of MAH will award several scholarships to college juniors or seniors studying to enter the media or a related field.  Students must have at least one full-time semester left of college.  Finalists will be contacted in May for a personal interview.  The awards will be announced in July 2021.
