Graduate Merit Fellowships

The Graduate Merit Fellowship application is open for currently enrolled students who demonstrate academic merit and/or financial need. There is a separate merit application for each school/department. After students apply, their application will be funneled into the merit fellowships they are eligible for. While the application is open in the spring semester, selected students will not receive their fellowship award until the following fall semester.

Merit Fellowship Details

  • Must be enrolled full-time in the semester of disbursement. Graduating students are not eligible. 
  • Most Moody College of Communication graduate programs are eligible.
  • Other eligibility requirements may apply, depending on the fellowship.
  • A general call for submissions will go out in early spring for the following academic year. 
  • Applications will be reviewed by each department/school's graduate studies committee who will select the recipients. 
  • Award amounts vary; more details can be found on the application.
  • Award disbursement details vary by fellowship. 
  • Recipients will be notified of selection as soon as the graduate studies committee awards them in LASSO.
