The Karch Gaming Institute is dedicated to shaping the next generation of creative leaders in the gaming industry by teaching students about all aspects of the digital gaming industry from concept to distribution to the convergence of gaming with film, broadcast and other media. Students will gain the skills and knowledge needed to thrive as leaders in the most profitable sector of entertainment.

Digital Game Industries Minor and Courses
Step into the fast-growing digital games industry through courses that integrate storytelling, creative design, user experience, production and business strategy. The minor is open to all undergraduate students following the 2026-2028 catalog.

Meet Director Ben Bayes
Ben Bays, associate professor of instruction in Moody College of Communication’s Department of Radio-Television-Film (RTF), is the inaugural director of the Karch Gaming Institute.
