Academic Enrollment:

Applicants must be enrolled as full-time students pursuing a major in Communications.

Enrollment Status:

Successful candidates must commit to enrolling in full-time classes during the subsequent semester following the award period.

Financial Need:

Preference will be given to applicants demonstrating financial need. Financial need will be assessed based on the information provided in the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or any other relevant financial documentation.

Essays:

Applicants must submit well-thought-out essays that address a set of questions specifically tailored to their prospective internship and long-term career aspirations within the communications field. This essay component allows candidates to articulate their goals and demonstrate their passion for the industry.

Essay questions:

In a 400–500-word essay, please respond to the following questions. What are your career aspirations, and how does this internship fit into those plans?

Budget Proposal:

To provide transparency and demonstrate responsible financial planning, applicants must submit a detailed budget outlining how the scholarship funds will be utilized. This should include a breakdown of anticipated expenses related to their education and internship, further emphasizing their commitment to maximizing the impact of the scholarship.

These requirements aim to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of each applicant's qualifications, aspirations, and financial planning skills.

If you change from the original internship specified in your application, you may forfeit the awarded funds. It is important to maintain the original terms of your application to ensure the continued eligibility and retention of these funds.

If you are awarded funds and have an outstanding balance, these funds will be automatically applied to settle the said balance. This ensures that any existing obligations are fulfilled prior to the disbursement of remaining funds.
