Become a Dean's Ambassador!
The Moody College of Communication Dean's Ambassadors is a small and select group of students who represent the Dean and Moody College.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Showcase Moody College of Communication to prospective students, families, and other guests.
- Communicate with prospective students and families throughout the application and enrollment process.
- Serve as student hosts for on and off-campus events for prospective and admitted students.
- Support operations of the Moody College Undergraduate Education Office by working various events.
Requirements to become a Dean's Ambassador:
- You must be enrolled as a Moody College of Communication student.
- You must be an enrolled UT Austin student at the time of serving as a Dean's Ambassador.
- You must be in good academic standing.
How to Apply :
Our office opens applications at the beginning of every semester. Please fill out our interest form found at the bottom of this page. Once the application opens we will notify you. If you have any questions please let us know at bemoody@austin.utexas.edu.
Why become a Dean's Ambassador?
After receiving a tour from a dean’s ambassador as a junior in high school, I had my heart set on Moody. Now, as a junior in college, I feel so lucky to be able to give future students a look at what our amazing school has to offer. I feel beyond honored to represent a place that has given me so much, both academically and professionally, but most importantly, personally! I’ve found the most welcoming community in Moody, and it’s no wonder why some students consider it the happiest place on campus!
When I was an admitted student and struggling to make a decision, my Dean’s Ambassadors had a huge impact on me, and when I got to Moody, I knew I wanted to have an impact on someone else like they did on me. I even get to work with one of them now!
I’ve always said that Moody students are the happiest students on campus. Having a small part in making that statement not a cliché, but a reality, has been one of the greatest joys of my college experience.
