It’s no secret that The University of Texas at Austin and Moody College are in high demand for undergraduates from Texas and beyond. To expand the admissions options available to talented first-year students who we feel would enhance the Longhorn community and who are committed to pursuing a UT Austin and Moody College education, the UTNY and UTLA Pathway Programs offer an exciting and distinctive opportunity.
Designed for first-year Moody College students, the programs allow new Longhorns to begin their UT experience in Los Angeles or New York. After spending their first semester of college in one of these bustling cities, students then transition to the Austin campus. Through the Pathway Programs, students take small, seminar-style courses that fulfill Moody College requirements, while building community with fellow students and gaining mentorship from Longhorns already thriving in New York or L.A.
Together, UTLA, UTNY and the Pathway Programs reflect Moody College’s commitment to providing opportunities for students to pursue their degrees and build their futures as Longhorns.
