Stacey Hoyt has been a special events professional since 2003. She is currently the director of events at KMFA Classical 89.5 where she manages the Draylen Mason Music Studio and programs and produces live events. She has been an adjunct professor teaching hospitality and event planning since 2016. She was formerly the manager of special events at the Blanton Museum of Art. Originally from Buffalo, New York, Stacey began her career working as a stage manager for dance companies including Ballet Austin, Atlanta Ballet, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
An active member of the Austin special events community, she has served in numerous leadership roles in the Austin Chapter of the International Special Events Association (ILEA) including chapter president. In 2021 she was inducted into the ILEA Austin Chapter Hall of Fame. She holds designations of Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and Certified Special Event Professional (CSEP) and she is currently serving as the Chair of the ILEA International CSEP Committee.
She is a graduate of The University of Illinois at Champagne Urbana where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Design, Technology and Management.
