Sean McDonald is an Asst Professor of Instruction at The University of Texas at Austin (Moody College of Communication and McCombs School of Business). In the ADV/PR department, Sean teaches ADV/PR 378 - Immersive Strategy – an elective of Texas Immersive. The course fuses business strategy with immersive experience design to enable students to innovate, design, and defend immersive experiences (products/services).
Sean is founder and CEO of 8 Days LLC, an advisory firm focused on revenue optimization across sales, marketing, and customer experience, working with businesses ranging from $5M to $10B revenue. Sean’s prior experience spans 35 years, including 7 years as Lieutenant, US Navy leading logistics, 12 years as marketing executive at Dell, an entrepreneur with Ant’s Eye View, and most recently a partner with PwC, leading teams of designers and strategists designing experiences to drive growth and transformations for products.
Sean earned both a BBA degree in finance and international business and an MBA with a Marketing focus at Texas McCombs.
