Dr. Natalie Bidnick Andreas is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Communication Studies, as well as a Provost's Teaching Fellow.
Her teaching and research explore the intersection of digital communication, artificial intelligence, and pedagogy. In the classroom, Dr. Andreas examines AI-enhanced environments through a critical and ethical lens, drawing on her practitioner experience. Her current scholarship focuses on how generative AI is reshaping assessment, feedback, and performance in higher education and organizational contexts.
Dr. Andreas is the author of the forthcoming book, The Feedback Machine: How AI Governs Learning, Writing, and Work (2027, Intellect Books/University of Chicago Press), as well as The First-Year College Writer’s Toolkit, a guide to simplifying the composition process for undergraduates.
Her perspectives on digital communication and AI have been featured in Time Magazine, Newsweek, Forbes, Entrepreneur, and Bloomberg, among other outlets.
Before entering higher education, Dr. Andreas spent over a decade as a strategic communication practitioner, advising more than 200 brands across multiple industries.
