Moody College seeks leaders for department chairs and center directors

The Moody College of Communication is seeking applicants for four senior leaderships positions that will help solidify its position among the finest colleges of communication in the world:

Director, Center for Health Communication / Professor – A joint appointment between Moody College and Dell Medical School, the director will oversee the Center for Health Communication, one of the largest and most comprehensive academic health communication centers in the country. He or she will also be appointed at the rank of tenured full professor.

Chair, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders – The chair and tenured professor will lead the top 10-ranked department with 400 undergraduate and 100 graduate students (including more than 20 doctoral students) and an on-site speech and hearing center that provides student training and clinical services.  

Chair, Department of Radio-Television-Film – The chair and tenured professor will lead this highly ranked department with 1,000 undergraduates, 160 graduate students and 50 full and part-time faculty. It is one of few departments or schools that teaches both media studies and production across numerous media platforms.

Director, Texas Program in Sports and Media / Professor – This tenured professor will serve as the founding director of the new Center for Sports and Media, which will integrate existing programs – including the Texas Program in Sports and Media and Certificate Program in Sports Media – and establish Moody College as a leader in sports, athletics, media and communication.
