Providing career development and job search assistance to students and alumni of the Moody College of Communication.
The mission of CCS is to advise and assist students to understand and leverage their education and experience to achieve professional success. We help students identify their career interests, skills and priorities; evaluate and explore career options; understand how different organizations and industries hire; and pursue internships, jobs, and other career opportunities.
While addressing our mission, CCS recognizes faculty as one of our best resources for connecting students to our office. The mutual goal of both our faculty and CCS is student success and by working together, we are able to provide our Communication students with the knowledge and skills to succeed as professionals.
In addition, our office serves as a resource to employers and alumni with jobs and internships for our students. CCS can assist employers with generating awareness of their organization and providing opportunities to meet well-qualified candidates to meet your hiring goals.

I will be working at NBCUniversal this summer as an intern in Production Finance for Universal Pictures. This is an amazing opportunity and I am so thankful for all the assistance the CCS Staff provided by reviewing my resume and encouraging me throughout the interviewing process. The on-going support from family and friends gave me the confidence to pursue NBC, which is the company I have always hoped to work for. With the help of a CCS grant I will also be interning at the Cannes Film Festival in May through the Creative Minds in Cannes. I am overwhelmed by the excitement that the next few months hold and I am looking forward to the next chapter of my life! – Natalie Rinehart B.S. in Radio, Television, and Film & B.A. in Theatre and Dance
"Thanks to the help of Communication Career Services and Ms. Debbie’s pre-law advising, I will be furthering my education at the School of Law: Loyola University Chicago this coming fall. I am so excited to start this journey and it would not have been possible with CCS! Thanks again!" -Jocelyn Chancellor, BS, Communication Studies
"I looked on the CareerSource website for full time positions in marketing or digital media in Austin and applied to about15-20 positions. I had 5 interviews with Zilliant (the company that hired me) for the position of a Marketing Associate. Over the past 4 years as a student I have interned for startups and learned to apply my digital media skills from my RTF classes and with the business foundations program I also learned theory of business. The combination of RTF, business foundations, getting involved on campus, and interning--I was able to sell myself on a wider platform. With the CareerSource website I was definitely able to find many jobs that were interesting to me and I am so thankful for the services the Comm school provides!" -Shruthi Rajashekar, BS, RTF/Business Foundations
“With the help of a CCS grant, I had the opportunity to intern at a record label in Los Angeles. This internship led me to decide to pursue a career in music promotions and publicity. CCS has always been there to help me and now it has been a stepping stone for the transition from college to the professional world. -Jessica Ramirez, Bachelor of Journalism
"I worked with CCS through the entire law school application process. The office assisted me with my essays and letters of recommendation and gave me excellent recommendations about which schools would be the best choice for me. I graduated from law school, and I am now studying for the bar before going to work at a firm in Dallas. CCS is a great resource for all students looking to pursue the same path." -Jill Harris, Bachelor of Journalism
