Susan Turner Nold is a Senior Lecturer in the Political Communication major in the Department of Communications Studies where she teaches a course in Communicating to Government. Nold also serves as the Director of the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life where she directs educational programs, events, and research focused on the voting and citizenship, civic engagement and education, and political efficacy, interest and knowledge, particularly among students and young people.
Before joining UT, Susan worked in as a General Counsel to a Texas Senator, an Attorney for the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission, a lawyer, government relations professional, and fundraiser.
Nold has a Bachelors of Political Science from Southern Methodist University and a Juris Doctor from the University Of Texas School Of Law.
