Dr. Perez is a Research Scientist Associate for the Cross Language Outcomes of Language Impairment Project. She coordinates the student programs that focus on bilingual/multicultural training, Project Access to Language and Literacy, the Language Evaluation, Appraisal, and Development in Educational Research (LEADER) Project, and Academic Clinical Research Training (ACRT) Project. Dr. Perez also teaches the graduate course, “Collaborative Models of Assessment and Intervention for Bilingual Children”, and supervises clinical research rotations in the Human Abilities Bilingual Language Acquisition Laboratory. Her interests are in the areas of early childhood intervention, bilingual special education, and Spanish/English literacy issues. Dr. Perez has extensive experience working with infants and toddlers, and school age children from bilingual (Spanish/English) backgrounds. She also serves several school districts on a consultant basis.
