Message to all students from the Dean 8/24
On behalf of everyone here in Moody College of Communication, we are excited to welcome you back for the Fall 2020 Semester. It is really great to have you back, even if we must remain at a safe distance! We sincerely hope you and your loved ones remain safe and well, and that you found time to rest and recharge this summer.
We have been working very hard all summer to get ready for Fall classes and we hope that you have a great experience here in Moody, despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our goal for the Fall is to “Keep Moody, Moody!” That means that we will all do everything we can to ensure that all the things that make Moody College so special -- like our interactive and innovative classes and creative and unique learning experiences -- will continue in new formats, despite the challenges we face today. We hope you will do your part by fully engaging in your classes, fully participating in online events and opportunities, continuing to care for yourself and each other, and making the Commitment to Protect Texas Together.
We know that many students are continuing to face significant challenges, so please remember that many resources are available for help, including counseling and mental health services, UT student emergency services, and the Moody College student emergency fund.
We are all part of one Big Moody Family and we must do everything we can to protect and support each other, right now and in the future, because we are all in this together. I hope you have a safe, productive, and Moody Fall Semester.
