Fontaine served as Houston's Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations under Mayor Bill White and saved taxpayers millions of dollars by reducing wasteful spending and eliminating duplicate services. Prior to working at the City of Houston, he was a pilot and later supported training programs at Continental Airlines. Today, Fontaine is a senior member of CenterPoint Energy's team tasked with improving multi-state customer service operations. He has also been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors for the Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority. Fontaine and his wife Diedra are parents of a teenage girl, Courtney.
