Pre-Law Advising is available to all students in the Moody College of Communication through Communication Career Services.

Debbie Kubena, CCS Director and Pre-Law Advisor, can help you determine if law school is right for you, provide information about taking the LSAT, help with law school research, and assist with personal statements and resumes. Schedule an appointment through STAR or by calling 512-471-9421.

The Pre-Law Advising Packet (expanded version) provides information useful to those considering law school.

How do I register for the LSAT? Where can I find information about letters of recommendation? How should I prepare for the LSAT? What is the Credential Assembly Service (CAS)? The answers to all these questions and more can be found at the LSAC website.

Financial Aid for Law School

To apply for federal loans, you must fill out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Law school can be also financed by private loans such as Access Group loans, bank loans, private foundations and scholarships. In addition, each law school may offer financial aid programs; contact the law school's financial aid office for application deadlines. -  Guide to finding financial aid for law school
