Paul Leonard

Lecturer, "Careers in Entertainment: Post-Production"

Paul Leonard graduated from UT in 1991 with a BA in English and a BS in Radio, TV, Film. He then moved to Los Angeles to attend USC Film School's Peter Stark Producer Program where he earned his MFA. Paul held jobs in marketing, development and production before landing in postproduction in 1994 on "Sliders" for Fox. Paul has supervised editorial, visual effects and all aspects of finishing TV series and mini-series. Currently the Co-Producer of "Battlestar Galactica," Paul has enjoyed producing postproduction for four seasons on what TV Guide and Time Magazine call "the best show on television." Sound editorial and visual effects, under Paul's supervision, have been nominated for Emmy awards twice and three times respectively. The goal of Paul's class will be to learn the various tools available in postproduction, examine a number of problem sequences from various shows Paul's worked on, and see the tools implemented.
